    In 2012 the 100 Club raised £818 towards  St Anthony’s Parish debt. We do need new members , to join see Helen Boal after 6pm Mass. It costs £26 per year per number but can be paid weekly or monthly.

    The odds are better than the lottery!

     

  • EMMAUS

     

    Emmaus a registered charity founded by a French catholic priest provides accommodation and work for homeless people. They urgently require household furniture, electrical items, bric-a-brac, bicycles and clothes for sale in their retail outlets. To arrange a collection please call 01179540886.

     

  • CHOIR

     

    If you enjoyed the music at Midnight Mass at Christmas...why not consider joining the choir? We sing on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month and on major Feast days. Practice is on Thursdays at 4pm in the church. New members are very welcome. Contact Tony Walsh.

     

  • OFFICIAL PARISH VISIT BY BISHOP DECLAN

     

    Bishop Declan Lang will visit next weekend 2nd/3rd  February.  Bishop Declan will concelebrate all Masses with Canon Bernard and will also attend the joint Parish AGM on the Sunday afternoon (3rd Feb) in Newman Hall at 3.30pm. This is an all age event and children are welcome. It is hoped the business of the meeting will not take too long allowing more time for socializing. Cream teas will be served. If anyone is interested in joining the PPC please talk to Canon Bernard, Frank Tothill or Bernard Thomas.

    The Requiem Mass for Megan Dunn will be on Tues 22nd Jan at 1.00 pm .  And for David Smith on Wed 30th Jan at 11.30 am. Both in the Sacred Heart.

  • NEW PARISH ADMINISTRATOR

     

    Mrs Jo Savery has been appointed and started work. She will be in the parish office from 9.30 –1.30 Tuesday to Friday during school term time. We wish her well in this new position.

    The next meeting is at 7.30 pm on Sunday 20 January in the Sacred Heart Presbytery.

  • BISHOP DECLAN VISIT

     

    Official visitation by Bishop Declan Lang weekend of 2nd/3rd  February.  Also on the Sunday (3rd) afternoon we have a “cream tea” and joint parish AGM which the Bishop will attend.
