• MEN'S PRAYER GROUP

    Meets on the first Monday of the month at 8pm in the Newman Hall Bar for 20 minutes of prayer followed by a couple of drinks. This is a relaxed and friendly group with a warm welcome for newcomers.

  • NYMPSFIELD RETREAT

     

    Retreat for 20-35 year olds from Fri 26th to Sun 28th July at Nympsfield. The weekend will include time for peace, quiet, catechesis and confession as well as a chance to socialise with other young Catholics. FFI see poster in narthex.

     

  • CHURCH CLEANING AT SACRED HEART

    The building work will be finished soon. If you can help with cleaning the church in preparation for the First Communion Mass please come along on Friday 7 June from 12 noon onwards

     

  • DISCOVERING PRIESTHOOD WEEKEND

    The Vocations Ministry of Clifton Diocese have organised a special residential retreat weekend at the Bernardine Cistercian Monastery, Brownshill, nr Stroud for those men who would like to discover more about a call to priesthood. Taking place from Friday evening 28th June until Sunday afternoon of the 30th June, the weekend is open to men over 18 years old.   • APF REGIONAL MASS

    St Augustine of Canterbury Church, Downend on Sunday 16th June from 2 until 5pm. If you’re planning to attend, please sign the list on the church noticeboard. They need to know numbers for catering purposes. Also there are now a number of empty mission boxes near the letter pigeon holes. If yours is there please do take it home.

    Wednesday 22nd May: instead of a meeting there will be a visit to Wyevale  Nurseries, Thornbury. Members are asked to meet in Sacred Heart car park at 10am and share lifts.

     

  • ST ANTONY'S PARISH MEETING

    All parishioners are warmly welcome to attend our forthcoming meeting after Saturday evening Mass on 1 June in the Church Hall. Tea and Coffee will be served. The team expect the meeting to be around 20 minutes. The reason for the meeting is to discuss a number of administration points that have been overlooked since the combining of the two parishes. Should any other issues either pastoral or administration need to be addressed we would welcome them to be brought to our notice. Look forward to seeing you all at the meeting.

    Clifton Diocese Syro-Malabar Catholic Community invite you to join them in a family get-together on 15 June at The Greenway Centre, Southmead from 10am to 6pm. The day will focus on celebrating and sharing the faith and heritage of the Syro-Malabar Church.
