    A silent procession, carrying flowers, in memory of people who have died from the effects of Climate Change; sea-level rise and extreme storms, floods, droughts and blizzards. It will also highlight the massive investments by UK Banks in fossil-fuel extraction and infrastructure It will begin at the Podium (centre of Broadmead), Bristol at 11am on Saturday 25th July. A picnic after this event will be held in Castle Park for everyone who supports this work of keeping fossil-fuels in the ground.

    The new cleaning rota for the Sacred Heart is on the screens in the Narthex and on the website.  If you would like a paper copy please ask Slava. Please note that some of the Group numbers have changed.  We need more volunteers to help with Church cleaning—if you are able to help by giving a couple of hours once every six weeks, please contact Slava on 0117 950 1472.

    NightLIFE at St Mary-on-the-Quay on Saturday 25th July from 7.30-10.30pm.  An opportunity to create a prayerful atmosphere in a city centre church with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and live music.


    On Friday 11th Sept the House of Commons will debate and vote on a Bill to legalise assisted suicide  This will put the most vulnerable people in our society at risk.  Please contact your MP, urging them to attend the debate and vote against the Bill.  You can send an e-mail to your MP via the Catholic Bishops’ Conference website (www.catholicnews.org.uk/assisted-suicide) or send a letter by post, a draft of which can be found at the back of the Church.

    UCM: Many thanks to all who supported our Coffee morning which raised £121 for AID to the CHURCH in NEED. There will not be a meeting this week as many members will be in Walsingham, but those who would like to meet for coffee on 8th July in the Eastfield Inn just turn up from 10am onwards.


    Meeting in Bristol during term time, a Bible study class welcoming men, women and children, whatever your church background, walk of life, or level of Bible knowledge. This class offers a unique way to study God's word.  From September this year we will be studying the book of Revelation.
